Get ready for a week of Holy Ghost power, divine instruction, and generational connection as saints from across the globe gather for the International General Assembly of the Church of the Living God Jewell Dominion. This is not just a meeting — it’s a sacred convocation where legacy meets fresh fire, and the body of Christ is strengthened for the work ahead.

A Legacy of Leadership & Anointed Vision
The Church of the Living God Jewell Dominion was founded in 1903 by Mother Mary Magdalena Lewis Tate, a trailblazing apostle and the first woman bishop of a nationally recognized denomination. Her bold preaching and Spirit-filled leadership birthed a movement that spread across the United States, rooted in holiness, healing, and truth.
Following her passing in 1930, the mantle was carried by Bishop Mattie Lou Jewell, who was elected in 1939 and became a pillar of education and expansion. She established Jewell’s Academy and Seminary, and relocated the church headquarters to Indianapolis, Indiana, where it remains today.
Her granddaughter, Dr. Naomi Aquilla Manning, continued the legacy as the fourth Chief Overseer, bringing theological depth, administrative excellence, and a heart for empowering leaders. Under her leadership, the church expanded its educational resources and strengthened its national infrastructure.
Bishop Faye Moore, a dynamic and prophetic voice, served with distinction and spiritual authority, helping to bridge generations and reinforce the church’s commitment to holiness and outreach.
Today, the torch is carried by Bishop Dr. Calvin Worthem, the current General Chief Overseer, who leads with vision, humility, and apostolic power. Under his leadership, the Jewell Dominion continues to grow, innovate, and impact communities across the nation.
